HOW TO DELIVER MORE VALUE TO YOUR CLIENTS
In this series, I'm sharing with you my A-Z guide of pricing tips to help you price your services with confidence and feel more confident charging what you need to support yourself. Here are letters V-X:
V is for Value
To feel confident with your prices you need to know in your heart that you are delivering incredible value to your clients.
So let's say you’ve used my pricing formula and your platform price comes out at £500 per month. Then you get to decide what goes into the package. Remember, you can create a bespoke package for each client.
The value you include could be things like how many posts you’ll be sharing, how often you’ll be engaging - whatever you want to include in.
(Psst: Here’s why you shouldn’t price per post as a social media manager)
And then you can add in that extra value to make it worth that price. Extra value would be things like a monthly analytics report, a welcome pack, monthly strategy call, maybe a weekly check in or video that you record to document your progress. The extra little bits that make your package more valuable.
You don't have to tell a client that when they sign up with you that they're going to get a welcome pack or a bonus call. You don't have to include that in your price to your client but that is just for you to have behind the scenes to help you feel more confident in what you’re charging.
When you know you're delivering a ton of value to your clients, you're going to feel a lot more confident in the price that you’re charging.
W is for Worth
Specifically, Self Worth. It’s so important as a business owner that you do whatever it takes to increase your self worth because you have to feel worthy of the prices that you are charging.
Lack of self worth can cause you to undercharge, to lower your prices, to take on shitty clients and to overwork. There are so many different things that you can do on a daily basis to increase your self worth. Things like:
Repeating affirmations
Journaling
Writing out an empowerment list like ‘25 reasons I am worthy of the rates I charge’
And importantly, making time for yourself. Giving yourself 10 minutes to switch off and have a cup of tea. Having a long hot bubble bath at the end of the day. Prioritising your needs and making time for self care, even when you've got other stuff to do.
Putting yourself first is so important. It is not selfish, and it’s how you’re going to build up those feelings of self worth. The more worthy you feel, the easier it’s going to be for you to charge what you need and to charge those higher prices with confidence.

X is for e-Xpert
X is a little bit of a cheat because we've missed the first letter off. But you try and find a word that starts with x that’s related to pricing…
When pricing your services, you need to remember that you are the expert. Even if you don't feel like you’re the best Social Media Manager out there. Even if you haven't been in the game for that long.
You need to remember that the people you’re helping, the clients you’re working with, don't know as much as you do about social media. That’s why they’re hiring you to manage their socials.
You’re the expert and you deserve to be paid well for your services.
(Learn why you don’t have to be the best to be paid well for your services here)
If there’s a potential client who just wants everything done the cheapest possible, they're not looking for an expert. They’re not looking for you and I would run for the hills! You want someone who’s going to value you, who’s going to value your expertise and your experience and who’s going to trust you to deliver the results that you know you can get.
Remember, you are the expert and if you don't feel like it it’s your responsibility to work towards feeling like and owning that title of expert.
